Summer Toes — Just for Kim

June 18, 2008

So here’s the thing about nail polish. In my humble opinion, colors just don’t cut it. If your toes are sporting a sassy pink and you’re not wearing something that coordinates with it, your feet look like they belong to someone else. I’m not saying that everything has to be matchy-matchy–far from it–but you don’t want to look like the great clash either. Also, toes are not the body part that you want to be making your biggest statement.

For sandal season, I rely on two solutions. One is “Van-Couvered in Snow” by OPI. It’s a shimmery silver that looks good with everything and on just about everyone. The other is a classic French or American pedicure–the former if you want something a bit bolder and brighter, the latter if you want the look to be perfectly natural. Both are clean and fresh…subtle and summery.
